Texas has long been known for its vast amounts of open land. But rapid growth means that available land is quickly diminishing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Investors looking for the best place to buy land need to choose wisely. According to D Magazine, a recent report by Younger Partners offers some insight about good places to invest.

The Younger Partners’ land investments division acknowledged in their report that development of underutilized space is progressing rapidly. Areas along the U.S. 380 corridor have a lot of potential for development, including towns like Celina, Prosper, Melissa, and Aubrey.

Outer-lying areas, including the concentric circles around DFW, are great spots for development. Towns like Forney, Rockwall, and Princeton are among the few places left in the greater Metroplex that offer good values on land.

Land along U.S. 75 and Interstate 35, from Downtown Dallas up to the Red River on the Oklahoma border, is likely to remain a stable long-term investment.

Other areas to consider that have a lot of potential for the future include West Fort Worth, south Cedar Hill and Ellis County. South Dallas has recently experienced renewed growth as companies have chosen to build warehouses in that location.
