A resort hotel may be in the works to accommodate the variety of visitors to Hard Rock Stadium, according to The Real Deal.

Fort Lauderdale developer Mazex Holding LLC filed plans with the city of Miami Gardens for a resort hotel set on nearly 40 acres of land. The hotel itself would include 600,000 square feet and 400 rooms.

Currently, Miami Gardens owns the land at the proposed site, located at the corner of Northwest 189th Street and Northwest 27th Avenue. Financial terms of the deal are still in negotiations, per The Real Deal.

Plans show that Mazex Holding will develop a nine- or ten-story building with suites as large as 3,400 square feet. The executive suites would also include three bedrooms and a kitchen. Smaller suites are listed at 1,200 square feet. The resort hotel’s amenities would include a restaurant and bar, spa, fitness center, rooftop bar, daycare facility, conference center, and auditorium.

The proposed resort hotel is near the site of a planned spec industrial park at 3900 Northwest 215th St., which was purchased in November for $28.2 million by Chicago’s Bridge Development Partners. That same month, Hollywood, Fla.-based Next Level Basketball proposed plans for a multi-million dollar basketball facility in Miami Gardens, also to be located near Hard Rock Stadium.
