Encinitas-based homebuilder Zephyr broke ground on their South Cove condo, townhome, and twin home project in Dana Point back in February. Less than 10 months later, they’re about to begin sales.

The OC Register is reporting that Zephyr will host its grand opening on Saturday, Dec. 9. Prospective buyers will be welcome to view model homes and learn more about this luxury community.

Located at Del Obispo and Pacific Coast Highway across the street from Doheny State Beach, the South Cove community will feature 168 residences in three distinct types. The “Aliso” flats will range between 1,404 and 1,943 square feet with prices starting at $936,999. “Trestles” multi-level townhomes will be between 883 and 2,126 square feet with prices starting at $572,990. Finally, “Strands” twin homes will range between 2,030 and 2,038 square feet and prices begin at $1.54 million.

17 of the Trestles units will be set aside for lower-income buyers. Potential buyers will not be allowed to have more than three residents and they will have to meet certain median income maximums, depending on the number of people in the household.

Each residence comes with an attached garage while some of the optional unit features include indoor/outdoor floor plans, balconies, porches, rooftop decks, and beach rinses. Ten residences will include live/work space that fronts to the Pacific Coast Highway.

The community itself includes various amenities such as a resort-style swimming pool, multiple common areas, and miles of walking/bike paths. Its proximity to the ocean also makes it an ideal spot for swimming, surfing, and fishing. A community park featuring 10 sculptures depicting surfing pioneers and paying tribute to the history of Dana Point will also be included in the community.
