The school like many often cater to the smarter kids. There arent many teachers and staff there for the right reasons. There have been teachers that have put hands on the kids and vice versa. Most bad incidents gets swept under the rug depending on the child.. It appears most staff are there for a paycheck. It also depends on the childs upbringing and behaviors which can help the teachers become effective in the classroom. Overall the school could be better if everyone was on one accord and staff is there for the right reasons. In this day and time teachers seem to get away with a lot since they are desperately needed. I've seen that most kids dont really like the school and there have been parents in the office complaining about issues with their child. If your child ever attends this school make sure you monitor and ask them questions daily for their overall wellbeing.

7/10This school has a magnet program/ fine arts department incorporated in the school in which a vast majority of the students are from the neighborhood. Parents of all students in this school need to be held accountable for the children's actions. There is a dress code which is enforced. That's great. Teachers need to be supported and given smaller teacher to student ratios, as well as the whole Clayton County School System. Teachers need to be able to effectively teach and not worry about overcrowded classes with behavioral problems, Learning differences and a lack of support.

Overall, as a former student and now my children attending I'm pleased with the school. I do wish they would refresh some of the teachers on dealing with children that need to be pushed a little harder and not allow teachers to suggest to parents their children need to be medicated.

Mrs. Lawrence, Boyd Garrett, and a host of other teachers are great. Karen Leewhat a great teacher and he has to be a College Coach teaching middle school. What she does with those cheerleaders, I can put them against some college squads and I would win... Then you top that with a great principal, Charmine Johnson you have a great school. Even the assistant principals are great. The staff will challenge your kid, What more do you ask for as a parent?? Parents do your part, as this school produces great kids....Go Clayton County Schools, you keep producing winners.. That's where Mrs. Lawrence came from !!!!!!!!!
