This school is a 1 because the staff don't protect students from bullying or gang related activities and some teacher teaching skills are horrible for them to have a degree. The well-being of the students are not their first priority

Mount Zion High School is like any other typical urban school. Are there issues, yes like any other school, however Clayton County schools suffer from bad public relations due to the school board problems of the past. The athletic programs are decent not great, probably due to most athletes attending nearby Jonesboro. I attended every boys varsity soccer game and they were competitive with schools from Henry, Pike, etc. Academics are based on individual effort, parental involvement, and home environment. Overall this school gets a good rating.

Mount Zion High School was one of the worst schools I've ever attended. There were constant fights, non-teaching teacher, and careless principals. No student gave another any respect, one of the main activities students often talked about was doing drugs. Although I was a successful student at this school, I didn't feel successful to other schools. Mount Zion should have MAJOR improvements but I don't think that will happen if its a title 1 school

I am a student at this school and RUN. the administration treats the student body like it is jail. Constant fights and racial tension are filled to the max. The magnet program is honestly the only good thing and they are now leaving. Teachers do not care and will tell you they do now. Like I said before, RUN.
