Area Review Guidelines

Don't just take our word for it: the best reviews are the ones that come from you! Our website was built with you, our visitors, in mind, so if you've got any tips to share we'd love to hear them. We welcome neighborhood reviews but we do moderate those contributions to ensure that our website stays a safe place for all who use it. Please look over the tips below before posting to help ensure that your reviews follow our guidelines.

Inappropriate Content: Please avoid using swear words. There are plenty of other descriptive words you can use. In addition, threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech towards any group, and explicit language will not be allowed. As a real estate company, we believe in and abide by the Fair Housing Act.

Personal Experience: Please submit a neighborhood review only if you are a resident of that neighborhood or have visited the property in person. Heard rave reviews from a friend? Refer them to! We love reviews with rich, specific details about all the valuable amenities and resources of a community. If you have a more general comment, it might find a home in the comments section of our blog or on our Facebook page.

Conflict of Interest: Your submissions should be unbiased and objective. For example, if you are involved in a dispute with any of the builders or neighborhoods, please do not use the reviews section as a platform to share information about your conflicts. In addition, builders should not be leaving reviews for their own neighborhoods, or for the competition!

Promotional Content: Let's try to keep our reviews relevant for the people who use our site as a resource in researching a new neighborhood. Do not post links for the commercial gain of yourself or any third parties.

Relevance: Your comments should relate to the neighborhood you are reviewing. Please do not use this as an opportunity to leave a testimonial about the real estate agent or salesperson who helped you with your purchase. We encourage you to review your agent as well, but you can do that on the partner agent’s page, not the neighborhood page. Reviewers are limited to one review per neighborhood or area.

Privacy: Don't publicize private information such as addresses, phone numbers, etc. Keep in mind that your posts are public, and can be seen by anyone at any time! In addition, please do not impersonate someone else or purposely misrepresent yourself.

Accuracy and Usefulness of Information: Please make sure your neighborhood reviews are factually correct. You are encouraged to share your opinions, but please don't misrepresent your experience. Before posting any reviews, ask yourself: Is this useful? Is this helpful to someone looking to buy a home in this neighborhood? Does it add value to the content on the page?

Personal Disputes: We understand that a disagreement with a neighbor or homeowners association can be upsetting, but this is not the place for venting your frustrations over a single incident that involves a fellow resident or the HOA. Before writing a review, take into consideration all factors of your neighborhood. By sharing a well-rounded view of all the things you've come to like (or dislike) about your neighborhood over time, you can help potential new neighbors decide if it's the right fit for them.

Note: When you post a review of a neighborhood you are giving permission to use your content. By posting your comments on you give us a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, transferable, worldwide right and license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, excerpt (in whole or in part) and distribute the content from your post and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such content, in any manner and medium.

We do review all posts and reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove any post at any time and without notice. We reserve the right to duplicate your review for use on promotional material and/or our family of websites.
