In Las Vegas, it was once easier to find a shrimp cocktail or a steak than a vegan restaurant. Luckily, even non-vegans have embraced the power of meat- and dairy-free cuisine along with a range vegan-friendly food. At these restaurants, dishes aren’t just alternatives to meat-friendly favorites, but delightful entrees in their own right.

Check out these Las Vegas neighborhoods for an abundance of vegan food is.

Downtown

Ever since Downtown’s revitalization, the neighborhood has been a hot market for artisan restaurants. The neighborhood is vibrant, walkable, and the cuisine reflects the local spirit of the neighborhood. At The Market, Bronze Cafe serves up vegan coffee, pastries, and salad. Customer favorites include the Vegan Chocolate Mocha and Vegan Tres Leches Cake (which includes coconut cajeta, strawberry compote, and rice milk). A lunch dish that’s popular is The Tree of Life, an open-faced pita sandwich.

Another vegan restaurant in the area is Ruse Vegan Kitchen, a traveling pop-up often seen in Downtown at locations like Ferguson’s Downtown. Choices at Ruse include entrees like the Falafel Burger and Tofu Satay Taco (which includes lemongrass-marinated tofu, peanut sauce, coriander slaw, and pickled ginger carrots). Simply Pure is also a local favorite for vegan cuisine.

Summerlin

A lively neighborhood known for shopping districts like Downtown Summerlin and Tivoli Village along with its luxury real estate, Summerlin is home to vegan restaurants like Violette’s Vegan in The Lakes. Open almost all day during the week, Violette’s Vegan serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but their specialty is weekend brunch with favorites like Sunrise Superman (a BLT with tempeh bacon, avocado, lettuce, mayo, and tomato on sourdough served with breakfast potatoes). The restaurant also features a kid’s menu that includes chocolate chip pancakes, mac and cheese, and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Also in the neighborhood is Panacea, a vegan and organic restaurant serving appetizers, salads, burgers, soups, and grain bowls. Their drink menu features a full line of cold-pressed juices and kombucha on tap. Plus, Las Vegas-based Vegans, Baby, a guide to all things vegan in the the Valley, offers a 20 percent coupon for first-time Panacea customers.

On Fort Apache Road, Veggy Street serves up an all-vegan menu with burgers, acai drinks, and desserts. Popular entrees include Crazy Falafel with radish, cucumber, sundried tomato, and vegan lavash bread.

Paradise encompasses the area immediately surrounding the UNLV campus and The Strip, making it a cuisine corridor that’s popular in the mornings and evenings with college students and tourists alike. The Modern Vegan, which opened this spring, has a comprehensive menu available Wednesday through Sunday. Favorites at the new vegan spot include the Jamaica Salad, Beet Bonanza, and vegan burritos.

Another spot in the area brings a unique approach to vegan food, combining a passion for nightlife with healthy food options. Founded by two DJs, Juicy Beats serves organic, vegan juices, cocktails, and spirits, but what really makes the restaurant different is its house music and lively nighttime events. Food favorites include meatless burgers, vegan hot dogs, wok-tossed okra, and quinoa bowls.

On Sunset across from McCarran Airport is Panevino, an Italian restaurant with plant-based, vegan lunch and dinner menus, where stuffed pastas and raviolis are made dairy-free. A popular menu option is Vicenzo’s quinoa shells and creamy mushroom sauce, which is gluten-free, organic, and served with grilled asparagus.

Southwest

In the nearby neighborhood of Southwest, a meeting grounds between Spring Valley, Enterprise, and Henderson, try Go Vegan Cafe, known for their cheese fries, raw pizza, pancakes, salad bar, and tostadas. The restaurant also serves burgers like the Mexi Burger (which includes a veggie patty with roasted pasilla peppers, guacamole, melted cheese, and slaw topped on a gluten-free bun).
