Living in the intense heat of Las Vegas often requires some adaptation, but locals don’t mind if that means lounging poolside, cranking up the air conditioning, or indulging in a sweet treat. Whether you like ice cream, macaroons, cotton candy, waffles, or even boba, check out these Las Vegas neighborhoods for delightful dessert shops.

Spring Valley

Of all the neighborhoods in Las Vegas besides The Strip, Spring Valley is one of the best areas in town to find a range of culinary delights like rolled ice cream. Spring Mountain is known for its boba tea, and it encompasses cultural areas like Chinatown, a hot neighborhood in Las Vegas right now.

Gabi Coffee and Bakery

Although Gabi Coffee and Bakery only opened a few months ago, it’s already received a lot of buzz. Decorated like a Korean speakeasy, Gabi takes visitors back to the 1920s. The bakery is modeled after a movie of the same name, which is also the Korean word for coffee. Although Gabi is known for its coffee, the bakery has more than a few delicious desserts like Lychee Rose Cake, Yuzu Earl Gray Pound Cake, and DanMee Cake, which includes orange blossom mascarpone mousse and blackberry raspberry wine gelee.

Milkywave

The novelty of Milkywave is its shaved ice cream, which was the bronze winner for “Best Frozen Dessert” in the Best of Las Vegas 2017 list. Unlike rolled ice cream, the texture of shaved ice cream is like thin sheets of creamy ice that melt in your mouth. Dessert lovers can build their own dessert or choose a combo like Balboa Banana, which comes with banana snow, almonds, rainbow sprinkles, and chocolate sauce.

Matcha Cafe Maiko

Matcha Cafe Maiko has a wide range of shaved ice, frappes, teas, ice creams, and parfaits, but the cafe is really known for the matcha that goes into nearly every dessert. Giving visitors an authentic taste of Japan, Matcha Cafe Maiko has popular desserts like matcha shaved ice, which comes topped with matcha syrup, homemade azuki beans, shiratama, and vanilla ice cream.

Southwest

Southwest is also a quiet enclave of dessert shops, which often gets overlooked for flashier favorites on The Strip. Still, this neighborhood has more than a few novelty dessert items that get rave reviews from locals.

Nourish Creamery and Juice Bar

Although there are countless ice cream shops in Las Vegas, Nourish Creamery and Juice Bar is definitely a memorable pick, as one-of-a-kind flavor combinations include charcoal rose, taro, and matcha. In addition to traditional cones, dessert lovers can also get their ice cream on a charcoal cone, like the Kitchen Sink combo.

Creamberry

What makes Creamberry one of the hottest places to get dessert in Las Vegas is its cotton candy burrito, an indulgent ice cream treat wrapped in cotton candy. Choose from over 20 ice cream flavors and select your toppings to customize your own eye-catching treat. But be prepared to wait: These burritos often come with a 20-minute wait depending on how long the line is. Also, plan to bring a friend to share this monstrous dessert.

Perfect Scoop

Perfect Scoop may have an impressive range of desserts and boba teas, but you won’t find its macaron ice cream sandwiches at any other dessert shop. Popular macaron flavors can be paired with everything from vanilla to banana chocolate chip ice cream.

Summerlin

As a neighborhood, Summerlin is a great place for shopping and dining, but it’s also home to some great dessert options.

Recess Italian Ice and Desserts

Recess Italian Ice and Desserts combines Italian ice and custard into a distinct dessert. Popular combos include Banana Split, Cherry Lemonade, and Peach Cobbler.

Cafe Lola

Although you could very easily go to Cafe Lola and get nothing but coffee, tea, beer, or wine, it would be a shame to miss out on the Cupcake Latte, an indulgent espresso beverage topped with a full-size cupcake. The desserts may be memorable, but the interior of Cafe Lola is also one of the most Instagrammable places in Summerlin. Their glamorous Instagram aesthetic is proof.

Paradise

Because Paradise encompasses the university and enjoys close proximity to The Strip, it’s no surprise that desserts in the area have to appeal to locals, tourists, and university students.

Tiabi Coffee and Waffle

Although Tiabi Coffee and Waffle has a full coffee and food menu, dessert waffles—like the Red Velvet Waffle with chocolate chips, drizzle, and whipped cream and the Waffle Macchiato topped with a waffle—are popular favorites for customers who want to indulge in a sweet treat.

Magnolia Ice Cream

Magnolia Ice Cream is known for its tropical flavors like ube, mango, and avocado. Ice cream comes in cups or cones, but Magnolia also offers Halo Halos, a traditional Filipino dessert that includes fruit, shaved ice, evaporated milk, and ice cream.
