While boba tea, also known as bubble tea, may be a novelty to some, it was popularized in Taiwan in the 1980s and saw a major resurgence in recent years in the U.S. What makes this treat so different is the mixture of tapioca balls, shave ice, and milk tea combined for a unique taste and texture you won’t find in other teas. In Las Vegas, boba tea shops are on almost every major street, making it easy for you to indulge your sweet tooth. What makes Las Vegas boba tea shops unique is that they all have their own spin on the popular tea. Here are four Las Vegas neighborhoods where you can find boba tea.

Because Spring Valley is home to Chinatown, a major culinary district in Las Vegas, this area is among the best neighborhoods in the Valley to find authentic boba tea. On Tropicana Boulevard is Mr. Tea, which is known for serving its boba tea in light bulb glasses that are popular with customers. Mr. Tea also offers lemonade ice tea that changes color as you drink it, along with matcha beverages.

At Cloud Tea, options include teas like passion fruit, winter melon, and lychee while milk teas include taro, almond, and honeydew. Teas are often served with their signature cloud emblazoned into foam. Meanwhile, at Tea Joy, indulge in macaroons, panna cotta, and fries alongside boba teas like cantaloupe green tea or Earl Grey milk tea with coffee jelly.

Near both the university and The Strip, Paradise is an ideal middle ground for several areas of town. It’s central to almost everything and includes some great boba tea shops. At Itea Boba and Desserts, enjoy boba tea combinations like Oreo plant milk tea, sea salt Oolong tea, or coffee milk tea alongside fresh waffles and ice cream. On Maryland Parkway, Chewy Boba Tea serves up volcano tea with boba, lychee slushies, and Thai iced tea. While Chewy Boba does serve tapioca boba, they also serve popping pearls, fruit juice-filled spheres that burst with flavor.

Just minutes away from Sunset Park, Tea Space has milk and signature teas alongside fruity teas like mango, strawberry, and kumquat. Add-ons include taro, lychee jelly, aloe, and chocolate sauce, and soy milk is available upon request.

Summerlin

Summerlin has a variety of boba tea shops, and a must-see first stop is Bover Cafe,
which is known for its vibrant drinks and desserts like matcha ice cream. Bover serves acai berry smoothies, Northern Light Tea, and peach Oolong tea. While boba is often situated at the bottom of a drink and sipped through a special boba straw, Bover’s smoothies have boba on top. At Taste Tea, enjoy favorites like Nagasaki and Hokkaido milk teas, strawberry milk slushes, and taro milk tea. The tea shop also serves waffles and espresso.

Another boba shop to check out in Summerlin is OMG Boba Tea, which has more than 60 flavors of tea, including taro, peanut butter banana, and avocado sesame. OMG Boba Tea also serves fruity boba in flavors like mango and strawberry.

Henderson

Henderson is also a great destination for boba tea. In Silverado Ranch, stop by Think Boba for slushies, milk tea, and flavored teas that pair well with their whimsically colored straws. Popular favorites include the honeydew slushie, strawberry green tea, and matcha ice cream milk tea slushie. Add-ons at Think Boba include green honey boba and mango jelly. Meanwhile, at Brew Tea Bar in Seven Hills, enjoy iced teas, lattes, milk teas, and slushies with boba. Some of their popular items include strawberry slush, coffee milk tea, and the jasmine latte.
