Brickell Flatiron, set to become one of the tallest residential buildings in the United States, is quickly rising in the Brickell Financial District, according to Construction Equipment Guide.

The luxury condo tower just capped off its 17th-floor pedestal, marking a significant step in the building’s progress. From there, developers expect the project to move fast, completing about one story per week until top-off. Once finished (slated for late 2019), the high-rise will stand at 736 feet tall, making it one of the tallest residential towers in the country.

Italian design architect Massimo Iosa Ghini worked on the building, which features residences ranging from one to five bedrooms. Penthouses will comprise floors 50 through 64, with three-story triplex penthouses on the top floors. Penthouse prices start at $1 million and exceed $15 million while unit prices range from $500,000 to about $2 million.

All units and penthouses feature upscale finishes like custom cabinetry and doors, high ceilings with recessed lighting, Italian marble floors, and glass balcony railings. Community amenities include a steam room and Pilates and yoga studios.

Developers say more than 70 percent of the building’s total 549 units have been sold or are under contract.

Brickell is seeing a flurry of construction, including a new hotel, multi-million dollar single-family homes, and a food hall. Fortunately, a traffic circle to ease congestion is also in the works.
