Houston’s residential developments continue to earn national recognition. As reported by the Houston Chronicle, the master-planned community Harvest Green was recently ranked among the top 50 best-selling communities in the U.S. on the annual John Burns Real Estate Consulting survey. With 315 home sales in 2017, it was among the most popular destinations for new homebuyers in the country.

Located only a half hour west of Downtown Houston in the Richmond area, the community of Harvest Green is tucked just off of the Grand Parkway Toll road. This connection to Grand Parkway quickly connects the community not only to central Houston but much of the surrounding city, including popular destinations such as Katy and Sugarland. However, Harvest Green is also near a stretch of stores along Grand Parkway that makes shopping easy for residents.

In addition to its convenient location, the community of Harvest Green has attracted residents due to its unique concept. The community is designed as a master-planned community centered around a community farm. Calling itself an “agri-hood,” Harvest Green offers residents the chance to get hands-on with the farming process. Community members can quickly access the farm and participate in the harvest, pick berries and herbs from the community gardens, and have locally grown produce delivered to their doors.

The community will also be welcoming a new retail center in 2018, making daily life in the area as convenient as possible. In March 2018, the Shops at Harvest Green will open, affording residents even more shopping options. The retail center will also welcome a number of new restaurants, providing residents the chance to shop and dine without travelling far from home.

Harvest Green has also become a popular destination due to The Farmhouse. Accessible to the entire community, this is an expansive recreation center that includes a fitness studio, and pool. The Farmhouse sits alongside the community lake and includes an event hall for special occasions and an open lawn where community members can enjoy music and other live events.
