According to Houston Agent Magazine, the master-planned community of Sienna Plantation recently opened six new model homes in hopes of attracting new residents, something that Sienna Plantation has not had a problem doing. As noted in the Houston Agent Magazine report, there was a 37 percent increase in home sales across the area between 2017 and 2018.

What’s created such hot demand for homes in the community? Here are a few reasons why Sienna Plantation is an attractive destination.

Sienna Plantation is located only 30 minutes south of Houston, and 30 minutes east of Sugar Land, another popular area. If locals want to visit the Sugar Land Town Square to do some dining and shopping or head to the NRG Center to watch the Houston Texans play, Sienna Plantation is perfectly positioned to give them the best of both worlds.

Amenities and Outdoor Activities

Sienna Plantation has invested heavily in providing residents with plenty to do while living in the area. For residents who want to stay in shape and enjoy the outdoors, the community has several pools, trails, and parks. Camp Sienna features a large sports park and playgrounds for the kids. There’s also a fitness center, tennis courts, and a golf course.

While Sienna Plantation has small parks for its residents, it’s also well positioned to offer a more rugged outdoor experience. The community is just a half hour from Brazos Bend State Park, which contains two large lakes: 40-Acre Lake and Elm Lake. Visitors can either go for a day trip or stay overnight at one of the campsites. There’s also a half mile nature trail, and 13 miles of multiuse trails for horseback riding. Cyclists are welcome as well. The George Observatory is also open on Saturdays for an evening of stargazing.

Community Events

The club at Sienna Plantation is home to many of the communities social activities and events.

Sienna Plantation is committed to bringing its community members together and hosts many events throughout the year. Its local farmers market brings fresh produce to residents, while its Truck ‘n Munch event brings in plenty of food trucks. Older adults can enjoy the adult bingo games, and kids can come together for fishing on the community lake. There are also plenty of holiday celebrations, like Fourth of July fireworks, community concerts, and breakfast meals with Santa Claus.

Great Schools

Families hoping to buy around Sienna Plantation may be happy to learn that the community maintains four on-site elementary schools as well as one on-site middle school and one on-site high school. Part of the Fort Bend Independent School District, these schools have been positively ranked by the organization Children at Risk. As reported in 2016 by the Houston Chronicle, many of the schools in Sienna Plantation experienced tremendous growth in their rankings, increasing in overall campus performance. While residents can send their children to one of the two nearby schools outside of the community, Sienna Plantation’s on-site schools are effective learning destinations.
