West of Phoenix in the suburb of Goodyear, Estrella is conveniently located near the Estrella Mountain Regional Park for outdoor activities (hence the name). Commuting for work is a short drive to Interstate 10, providing quick access to Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, and Glendale, which also expands entertainment and shopping opportunities in the larger metro area.

The 14,000 residents here includes plenty of young families so education is a priority. Estrella is part of the Liberty Elementary and Buckeye Union High School districts. For those looking for secondary education nearby, Arizona State University offers four nearby campuses for higher education in West Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, and Downtown Phoenix.

Area Attractions

A big part of the attraction to living here is that you don’t have to leave the community to have a well-rounded life. Estrella boasts 500 acres of greenspace and 72 acres of lakes. Kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, and sailing are some of the options available at Estrella Yacht Club.

About Goodyear

Goodyear has made waves as one of Arizona's fastest-growing cities. The city has made strides in recent years, becoming one of the top places to live thanks to a strategic placement near airports, freeways, and rail transit.

According to the U.S. Census, the population stands at just over 77,000 with a median home value of $235,200.

With over 300 days of sunny weather a year and mild winters, Goodyear is a haven for active residents. Outdoor activities, plenty of parks, and lots of sunshine draw retirees and millennials alike. There’s a good reason it’s won both the All-America City award from the National Civic League and the City Livability award from The United States Conference of Mayors.
