Developer Howard Hughes Corp. has revealed the first two homebuilders for its new 2,000-acre master-planned community north of Houston, according to The Houston Business Journal. The Woodlands Hills will feature homes built by Ravenna Homes and Westin Homes. Both Ravenna and Westin also offer homes in Bridgeland.

The Woodlands Hills is in Conroe and Willis, 13 miles north of The Woodlands. Ultimately, this neighborhood will include more than 4,500 homes. Amenities at The Woodland Hills will include 112 acres of greenspace with 20 neighborhood parks, 9.5 miles of hike and bike trails, and bike lanes on major roads. A 17-acre village park will feature a leisure pool with a lazy river, a play area, a fitness center, tennis courts, and an events lawn with a stage. A commercial and retail development will also be added to the neighborhood.

In addition, the Johnson Development Corp. recently announced Lennar as the eighth homebuilder for its new Grand Central Park neighborhood, located just north of The Woodlands in Conroe.
