Independent workers, entrepreneurs, and freelancers make up a big portion of the workforce these days, and many people are choosing to work in a coworking space to beat the isolation. According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, shared office space provider WeWork is opening a new location in Fort Worth at the Clearfork Shopping Center. 

The Shops at Clearfork is an upscale new shopping center in West Fort Worth anchored by Neiman Marcus. The WeWork space will open in 2018 and will be located at 5049 Edwards Ranch Rd. The office will be able to accommodate up to 850 workers.

WeWork operates co-working spaces in 53 cities throughout the U.S., including Dallas, Houston, and Austin. Prices for the Fort Worth location have not yet been announced. According to the Star-Telegram story, prices for the Downtown Dallas location range from $250 a month for a non-dedicated desk to $350 for a month for a dedicated desk and $400 a month for a private office.

Prices were reported to be higher at the WeWork locations in Uptown Dallas and at Legacy West in Plano. 

“WeWork builds more than just beautiful work spaces, we aim to build communities that help people collaborate and thrive,” said Adam Wacenske, WeWork’s general manager for the South, in the Star-Telegram. “We’re encouraged by the interest and growth we’ve seen in the Metroplex, and we’re excited to bring our community to Fort Worth.”

The Clearfork location will have private offices that can accommodate up to 36 employees; conference rooms; event spaces; quiet rooms for phone calls; and pantries with complimentary fruit, water, and coffee.
