Green Valley Ranch may simply be a smaller part of the city of Henderson and considered a suburb of Las Vegas, but the area has a neighborhood vibe all its own. The area, bounded by the 215 and South Valle Verde Drive, has all the staples of a suburb (an abundance of housing options as well as convenient access to grocery stores), but it’s also a hip neighborhood. With coffee shops, libraries, farmers markets, and lots of walking paths, this enclave in Henderson has high potential for locals. Here are six reasons to live in Green Valley Ranch.

Easy Access to the District and Green Valley Ranch

Whether you want to gamble, shop, have a drink, or take the kids to a movie, Green Valley Ranch Resort has pretty much everything you’ll need for entertainment year-round. Also, The District, a the tree-lined, cobblestoned shopping mall, is nearby, so you can shop at major retailers like Anthropologie, Williams Sonoma, and Athleta or simply get your coffee to go.

The Libraries

Paseo Verde Library, one of several innovative local libraries, is just steps away from the Henderson Pavilion, Multigenerational Center, and The District. In addition to a 1,000-square-foot, glass-wall reading room, Paseo Verde also has a staffed genealogy room and regular book sales. Although Green Valley Library is not technically part of the same neighborhood (it’s really in Green Valley South), it’s close enough that the same patrons who check out books at Paseo Verde frequently drop them off at Green Valley or one of the other convenient library branches in Henderson.

Lots of Walking Paths and Parks

From Friendship Park to Discovery Park, Green Valley is home to plenty of lovely greenspaces with sports fields, basketball courts, and playgrounds. Henderson is also home to several trails where residents can bike, jog, or walk through neighborhoods and natural environments.

Several Community Pools

Whether you want to take the kids swimming at the municipal pool or kick back on your own in a resort setting, Green Valley has several options for summer fun. Green Valley Ranch Resort Poolis open to non-guests on weekdays, allowing locals to enjoy a sand-bottom swimming pool and lots of food options. The Henderson Multigenerational Indoor Pool is also a great option, if you want a deal on spa time, swimming laps in a four-lane pool, and an outdoor pool with water features.

It’s a Neighborhood With Great Date and Staycation Possibilities

In addition to being a great place to live, Green Valley Ranch is also an excellent neighborhood to go on a date. You can drink and paint at Pinot’s Palette, have a fancy Italian dinner at Bottiglia, or take a leisurely evening walk. Green Valley is also a fun place to enjoy a spa treatment while on your staycation.

An Abundance of Coffee Shops and Beverages

Green Valley is full of coffee shops; even the Paseo Verde Library has its own cafe called The Coffee Press. The District is also home to the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, while the surrounding area also has no shortage of options just a short drive away. Also, Zero Degrees (a popular California chain famous for its fruit-topped mangonadas) is coming soon to The District, along with Pressed For Juice, giving even more beverage options to Green Valley residents.
